Short long leaf garden plant with fragrant flower

The ‘Atago Lily’ is a fragrant long leaf plant with multiple white, yellow, red or mauve flowers. They grow on a very strong growth stock and bloom abundantly between May and October.

The flowering season is very long and also the seed-bearing period. The leaves are suitable for hanging baskets.

‘Atago Lily’ bloom in mid-to-late spring.

The strong, strappy foliage of this sun-loving variety is complemented by the white, mauve or cream-colored flowers. The flowers look like blown-out lily buds and are also beautiful in the bouquets. The cheerful nature and elegant long leaves are even better suited as a tropical hibiscus replacement in hanging baskets.

The ‘Atago Lily’ creates a very attractive flower with its double blooms that are known to reproduce well and set seed. These blooms have a gentle, attractive scent.

In the growing season, choose half sun or full sun. In any case, the leaves will have enough protection from the direct rays of the sun.

Water in spring, mid-summer and autumn is recommended when watering. Do not let the leaves dry out completely.

Repot early.

In winter, cut down the plant to ground level and be sure to bring it into a warm climate if it freezes. If the plant will not come into flower during the long-awaited flower season, you should cut back your plant to three to five inches above ground level and bring the plant into a warmer climate, where it can thrive and grow.

If you already have a root plant, be sure to treat the plant thoroughly and well, as a cold climate can lead to the plant rooting around in search of warmth.

While transplanting, do not rush in to fill the hole. Wait a week and then carefully add soil, potting soil, soil cubes or other peat-based material, just as with the original plant.

Grow in a variety of soil. Try a mixture of both potting soil and peat-based material.

Make a hole, to fill a pot with soil and to plant in the ground. Gently remove the plant from the pot and use your hands to remove the roots from the pot. Then carefully set the plant in the hole in the ground. If you have any questions, we have a good selection of plant care guides to help you.

For spring planting, use a light soil with a higher pH level. Make a hole about twice the width of the stem and plant the seedling on the soil just below the surface of the ground. After the weather warms up, gradually add soil and moisture to the soil above the seedling until the soil is even with the ground level.

For summer planting, use a light soil with a higher pH level. Make a hole about five times the width of the stem and plant the seedling on the soil just below the surface of the ground. After the weather warms up, gradually add soil and moisture to the soil above the seedling until the soil is even with the ground level.

For autumn planting, use a light soil with a lower pH level. Make a hole about twice the width of the stem and plant the seedling on the soil just below the surface of the ground. After the weather warms up, gradually add soil and moisture to the soil above the seedling until the soil is even with the ground level.

The seedlings, which have small leaves, should be planted in a nursery, before they are planted in the ground. As soon as the weather warms up,
